With just one week to go before the midterm elections, CRGE is redoubling efforts to ensure that communities most affected by the Republicans’ agenda of bigotry and hate play a decisive role in the outcomes of state and national races. The choices voters make on November 6th will have resounding impacts on the safety, rights and freedom of millions of people living in this country. Despite the gravity of the moment and magnitude of threat posed by our opposition, CRGE remains inspired and energized to take part in this growing national movement to resist Republicans’ unvarnished articulation of white supremacy, misogyny, xenophobia, and greed.
CRGE is taking the fight across Illinois to mobilize people of color, women and workers behind candidates that reflect our communities and share our values.We are engaging households most directly impacted by Governor Rauner's cuts to childcare, suppression of wages and perpetuation of mass incarceration, urging voters to take their outrage to the ballot box. In Congressional District 12 and 13, CRGE is calling upon Black voters to send a clear message to Republicans that communities will not abide their steady rollbacks on our civil rights, mounting threats to healthcare, and dog-whistling political rhetoric.
Since June, CRGE has knocked on 26,728 doors, made 28,404 phone calls, sent 52,246 text messages, and reached 25,669 more voters through targeted social media ads. This week, in partnership with the Haas Institute and ONE Northside, we are launching a new PSA video ad to mobilize communities to turn out and vote on November 6th.

Despite the ground we’ve gained, recent polls indicate that the Republicans’ divisive and racialized fear mongering tactics have once again gained traction.
